Just to make everything super wonderful, I learned this morning that our beloved Nipper tested positive for COVID-19. He said he's been sick for about a week. He's very exhausted and congested, but so far hasn't had any trouble breathing. Raptor and the Redhead are feeling sick too, but as far as I know, they haven't received results of testing yet so they're not officially diagnosed. The Nipper probably caught it at work, after he was ordered to return in person. Another colleague has it too. Stupid dumbass bosses. It's frustrating that so many people are running around doing all kinds of risky things, and avoiding infection by sheer dumb luck, and our Nipper, who has taken the utmost care, protecting himself and everyone else while working his ass off ALL YEAR, has to suffer. There's a lot of hope that he will have a relatively mild case and get better. All we can do is wait and see. We ordered an oximeter for them, so they can monitor their oxygen levels. What we can do long-distance is quite limited.

The Christmas tree is down. It was getting quite dried out, so we thought it best to send it on its way. I put the original Christmas Revels CD on when we started, and the Sparrowhawk was just dragging it out the door when the music ended. I'm gradually hauling the boxes of lights and ornaments back up to the attic.

Went for a walk, did some writing, cooked dinner. Can't say I'm at my best today.
