I was busy with mundane things today. Sometimes that's good. We got out for a walk in the morning. Yesterday, Facebook showed me a memory of something I had posted a couple of years ago--snowdrops. I thought, "Hmph! Same day, no snowdrops!" But I was wrong. In a sunny spot in the woods, they were blooming. My daffodils are about three inches tall. It seems as if they appeared in an instant, as soon as the snow melted. I think they must have been secretly sprouting under the drifts, all the time. It's very comforting, somehow, to see that things come back in their own time, even when I'm not expecting them.

We got back in time for a Zoom with Deb and the Prussian. Then the Sparrowhawk moved on to a Zoom with his old friends group from high school. One of them lives in Greece now. She reported that sadly, a number of countries in Europe are a covid mess again. In Greece, she's in hard lockdown again. But I am told that she's using her lockdown time to plant THIRTY-ONE new rose bushes, so I kind of envy her all the same! I kept working on my organizing-the-past project. Then I cooked dinner--tonight, linguini with shrimp and mushrooms in onion-garlic butter sauce, plus another chopped salad.
