We had a plan to go to and admire the cherry trees in the Japanese garden, but the cold weather has come back, and it was drizzling with possible sleet. So we put off the cherry blossom viewing for a sunnier day. We might have frost tonight. I brought my little seed starters inside just in time. Instead of wandering through the cherry trees, I did laundry, cleaned up the kitchen, and made soup so the Sparrowhawk would have a hot snack before going to his special boxing gym. This is the second week that he's been going back there, and he is doing well. Having gone through one whole stack of notebooks, I'm taking a hiatus from the notebook inventory. Instead, my project is backing up some files that I should have backed up long ago. But, at the time, I thought there was plenty of time. It takes a lot of fortitude to confront Past Me in this manner. But, as with the notebooks, I discover a few lost valuables that make it worthwhile--kind of like finding a 20 dollar bill in the pocket when you finally wash your jeans.

I also had the pleasure of talking on the phone with Queenie! She went to the doctor, and he said she was fine and could go out and do what she wanted to. It's Florida--so I guess they don't have to quarantine. But since she still doesn't feel motivated to go to the mailbox, there's not much chance of her running wild just yet. I'm so happy that she's getting better! It's a big weight off my heart. She still has no sense of taste or smell, but I hope that will come back soon.
