Well, I AM back . . . back from our lovely Thanksgiving trip to see all the children and grandchildren. I was going to write more about that, but I've been so tired lately, by the time evening comes. And I've had to manage a few more things with my mother. So I will get around to the trip report eventually. I'm just not going to finish NaNoWriMo this year. May as well face it. It's been a rough month with not much peace and quiet. I need to get my head back in the game.

We've been having some beautiful weather, with sunshine and no snow, so coming home from North Carolina wasn't as much of a shock as it has been at times! We've been working on raking up the leaves in the back yard, and made a lot of progress, though we're not finished yet. At the bookstore, I succumbed to the lure of a little more Christmas music, in this case, the Barenaked Ladies album, "Barenaked for the Holidays." Who could resist?

Noodling around on Pinterest, I encountered a poet new to me--Noor Unnahar, who apparently is a very young woman who lives in Pakistan. I really liked her poem that was posted:

The sky tore itself apart
and the sun burned itself down
just so you could see another day
and now that this galaxy
full of bright stars
is keeping you alive
how dare you not
understand this unusual
unheard love
you are to live
for the loves you don't know
and yes
you are to live
