Sagebrush of Leave
Oct. 3rd, 2021 10:02 pmLast night there was a lot of anxiety and sibling texts, because the labor of the Mr. Science scion was not progressing. They had transferred from the birthing center to the hospital for more options, but the baby still wasn't coming out. Finally they went for a C-section, and shortly before midnight, photos appeared of a ridiculously gorgeous baby and tired but happy parents. Everyone is healthy, but Johnny will be in the hospital for a couple of days to recuperate. My little brother is now a grandfather. I'm grateful that everything ended well. I was getting anxious when things went on and on.
WE got email to inform us that another friend--mostly online but still--has died. She was fighting cancer, and it finally got her. She was younger than us and had two kids at home.
Last night the predicted rain arrived and poured down until after sunrise. It came with a cold front, but it's not really very cold yet. In fact, it isn't cold at all! Still in the 70s in October. More and more leaves are turning yellow and falling with the wind, but overall, things still look green.
