After a walk yesterday, I slept pretty well last night, and felt somewhat better today. I did some cleaning up in our room--and I emphasize SOME because it's the kind of thing where you move stuff and then it looks worse than it did before until it's finished which it isn't. Sigh. Pursuant to this, I disposed of another bag of things that I won't need any more. I also changed the sheets on the bed and did three loads of laundry which have yet to be put away. I talked to Queenie and was horrified to learn that she had a horrible attack of abdominal pain and all that goes with it. Best guess is that it was caused by the powerful antibiotics she has to be on for the dog bites. As she said, she just can't catch a break. I hope she's having a better night tonight.

I've been trying not to make lots of leftovers, because of the refrigerator. Tonight I cooked the eggplant, sauteeing it with garlic and onion, then a splash of white wine and the rest of the tomatoes, plus basil and marjoram to make a sauce-like thing. This accompanied a frittata with one leftover strip of bacon chopped up, mushrooms, a bit of leftover chicken likewise chopped up, and some cheese. It was quite tasty.

And then . . . aack, time to unload the refrigerator into two coolers, discovering many . . . interesting things along the way, because I haven't been cleaning the refrigerator lately, on account of not wanting to keep it open for any length of time because of the thermostat problem. But it's all empty now and ready to be taken away tomorrow! I am really looking forward to having a new, functional refrigerator. I've been inching forward on the WIP, a little bit every day. But not today because Queenie called during my only available working time.
