I talked to Queenie this morning. I moved back from outlining plot stuff to actual writing again. Other than that, I got nothing done because I woke up before dawn and therefore spent the day in an absolute fog of exhaustion but unable to take a nap because I didn't have enough breaks between one thing and another. At one point when I was sitting on the couch with my laptop, the disheveled handyman who sometimes works for our reclusive neighbor came to the door and asked for a drink of water. He was waiting for the neighbor to get home so he could do some work for him. They seem to suit each other--it seems like one of those "They pretend to pay us and we pretend to work" kind of things. This guy did a minor repair for us once, and we weren't happy with it, so we don't hire him any more and he doesn't pester us to do so. We brought him a drink and I made him a baggie of M&Ms and peanuts because I didn't have any cookies or snacks. I wish I could have made him a sandwich. I worry about him because every time I see him he is thinner and more decrepit looking. He wouldn't come close to us because he said his wife has a "bad cold" and he doesn't want to expose us. We had to just put the glass down on the porch step for him. It was sad. Finally, the Sparrowhawk went off to the gym. It was such a beautiful day. I was dying to go out for a walk, because I know that soon this fragile warmth will end and it will get cold and nasty. But I just couldn't. I took a nap instead. Meh. Hopefully there will be more things tomorrow.

I'm glad he was careful not to expose you to any potential virus. I'm glad you did what you could.
