I hesitate to ascribe magic to these Portuguese flannel sheets, but I do think I've been sleeping better since I put them on the bed. Magic or not, they are absolutely the bomb. I'm of two minds about whether everyone in the world should have some. On the one hand, it seems that sleeping on beautiful flannel sheets would make anyone a better person. But if that didn't happen, then the bad people would just sleep like babies and wake up cheerful and energetic and ready to do more evil. So I guess I won't start a flannel sheet foundation.

Other than that, I have little to report other than making beef stroganoff for dinner. I also had a cauliflower that was lounging around the refrigerator accomplishing very little, kind of like me in the refrigerator that Michigan has been lately. So I made aloo gobi with it. It sounds like kind of a weird combination with the beef stroganoff, but it was surprisingly acceptable, and nice for a cold day. The addition of some leafy green salad added to the compatibility.

I have not used my flannel sheets in years - radiator heat is so efficient that I get too hot! Even with a window open.
