Chukar of Sleet
Feb. 19th, 2018 09:13 pmThus I return from what seemed like an extended voyage to the bottom of the night. No need to describe myself in the grip of a respiratory virus attack--I'm sure I've done that many times over the years. It was horrible. In the last couple of days, I tried to demonstrate resurrection by accomplishing a few simple tasks, mostly laundry related. The Sparrowhawk has a bad cold now. I decided that putting clean sheets on the bed and washing the old ones would be a step in the right direction. He slept for a long time in his clean fluffy sheets, and I think it had a good effect on him. Today, I went for a walk before the rain started. I have to ramp up the physical activity slowly, before I try to go back to the gym. I'm still haunted by the ghost of the flu, which takes the form of a deeply annoying rattly cough, plus lingering and constant fatigue. If anything of actual interest occurs, I'll be sure to report it. Unless, of course, it takes the form of something apocalyptic, in which case you may know before I do.
