Very busy day. I had a plan. Then circumstances required changing our Zoom with Deb and the Prussian from tomorrow to today! I wanted to do some laundry, but had shirts with intractable spots. My method for fixing this is to hand scrub them with a powerful stain-busting detergent, then soak them in same, and then wash them in the washing machine. So I got the shirts soaking, and then ran out to the grocery store, where I spent more money than usual, but got some good bargains on remaindered meat. Also ten pounds of potatoes, because they had BOGO potatoes. Well, I don't know. We've been doing pretty well at eating up all the potatoes. Irish and German! I got a six-pack of Guinness for the holiday. I put everything away. I cooked some sausages and some beets that needed cooking, then started my laundry. Then the Zoom, then a brief respite with tea. Then I finally completed a somewhat cursory vacuuming and dusting in our bedroom. The Sparrowhawk cleaned the guest bathroom and put the sheets on the bed downstairs.

And that was all we had time for before meeting Tron and the Lumberjack at one of our local breweries for a delicious and fun dinner. I had a shrimp po'boy. They had little flights of beer, so I got to try a several interesting brews--a pumpkin sour, a raspberry and mint sour, and a rye and spelt beer. Home again for an animated discussion of what would happen if a meteor hit Yellowstone right above the magma cauldron, and a couple of episodes of House Hunters.
