ismoSometime in the afternoon I remarked to the Sparrowhawk, "I feel as if I haven't done a thing right all day." He said "Funny--I was about to say the same thing." I guess it's the day after you start to feel better syndrome. On the day you start to feel better, you buzz around and do this and that, and the next day, you think you can do the same and even more so, but alas no, because you got tired. This morning I hopefully used one of the new tests, hoping I'd be negative and see liberation before me, but no. That pesky pink line still stubbornly materializes.
We didn't even go outside. By the time we got around to thinking of it, it was almost 90 out and just didn't seem appealing--not without our kiddie pool to at least cool our feet in. If this goes on, we'll have to order one from amazon. The Sparrowhawk thought that perhaps he needed exercise and should try mowing the lawn. I suggested he not do that, as tactfully as possible, which, me being me, is not very. The fact that there was an air quality alert and the weather service was urging people to avoid strenuous activities helped to convince him.
We had the second installment of last night's steak for dinner, with the addition of broccoli and a salad made from what was left in the refrigerator. If I don't get liberated pretty soon, we'll run out of stuff and have to have groceries delivered, which I don't like. Of course, our kind niece has offered to pick up anything we need, but I feel she has enough to do.
