I succeeded in giving blood today, so I did one good thing. The cheerful German lady was running the canteen table. I always enjoy chatting with her.

I was so grouchy and dejected today that I tried to eat a donut. However, it was not of high quality and tasted of artificial flavors, so I couldn't. It's a sad day when I can't even engage in petty vices to soothe myself. That's what I get for having such high standards.

A donut too crappy to indulge? That's frickin' tragic. Why don't they have ice cream at the blood center? Or pomegranate juice? Or dark chocolate truffles? Or strawberries?

Yay for giving blood! I was smart [?] and didn't buy ice cream on the way home from choir last night, knowing I would eat it ALL on the snow day.
