We just watched episode 9 of the first season of "For All Mankind." I was prepared to like this show, and was conditionally enjoying some parts of it, though I felt the drama to science ratio was waaay too high. Now I officially hate pretty much all the characters and don't care any more if their rockets all blow up. Jeez. I guess it's not possible to just let the viewer enjoy something without making everything dark and horrid. Perhaps it's just as well we never went back to the moon. There haven't been any murders there. That we know of . . . . Anyway, if we have to trade a moon base for Teddy Kennedy being President, I'm not sure that's a good deal for anyone.

Perhaps I am just generally in a grumpy mood. I've talked to Queenie. Her health is not improving. She needs a new dentist. Her teeth are falling apart. No news from Mr. Science. I washed sheets and towels and a few things the Sparrowhawk needed. I cut up the remaining peaches. No doubt about it--I should have bought more. I've almost finished "Rhymer" by Greg Frost. I'll give it high marks on Amazon--my goal in reading it was to be supportive--and it is good of its kind. But I think I'm not the target audience. When the Sparrowhawk went to the gym, I tried to go for a walk. I did the bare minimum to get an exercise score from Fitbit, but it didn't really work out. My knee hurt and my body kept telling me fairly insistently to go home. The weather is quite nice, for what that's worth.

I'm glad the weather was good. We have gotten more moderate temperatures this week, as well.
