I had a nice time with Dragonfly yesterday. We were going to try a new taco place, but it was too crowded, so we had rather expensive, but good, sandwiches at a more chi-chi place in the Village. Our waiter was thickly covered in colorful, artistic tattoos, and kept zipping by looking worried and assuring us our food would be right out. He thanked us several times for our patience. It was no virtue in me, because I wasn't particularly in a hurry and was enjoying myself sitting there, but I accepted his praise with smug grace and tipped him.

Today I feel inexplicably tired. After two days of rain and wind, it was a beautiful day of blue skies and more warmth. I went for a walk. I had great ambitions to work in my yard, but once I had taken a shower and assembled my laundry, I was tired. I thawed out some chicken, and sat down and wrote up some notes. I had quite an extended chat via text with my siblings, mostly about genealogy. We went to church, and the Sparrowhawk cooked up some delicious stir fry for dinner. Early bedtime sounds very tempting right now.

fatigue is a persistence predator. use up more spoons than you actually have, and, eventually, the fatigue catches up with you.
