ismoIt's better and worse today. Less overall misery, but more focused cough, sore throat and achy chest. This probably means I'm on the road to recovery. Anyway, I'll take it. Today I put away laundry, spent an hour or so working on my dusting project, put away the photo boxes, and thawed out some sausages for dinner. The Sparrowhawk cooked them while I was working on something else, and then I made some mushrooms and sausages and a baked potato to go with them, and washed all the lettuce so it could be eaten. Then I had a Zoom meeting with the Burroughs Bibiophiles, a fan group, to promote my book. I think it went pretty well, although I felt so much less articulate than I was in my head before I actually joined the meeting.
The siding guys were back at it today. Supposedly they will return just for part of the day tomorrow. So says the manager. This is beginning to feel like an eternal process. I was sad because it was warm and lovely outside, but I couldn't really go out. I was also very worried about Tron, because the Lumberjack posted a GoFundMe with a picture of her that was so sad to see because she looked so wan and frail compared to her usual self. This last hospitalization, plus future treatments she may need, has put a crimp in their valiant efforts to take care of this themselves, so they're asking for help. It is heartwarming to see how many people care about her, though. I've been trying to figure out how to link to it here, and I just can't. I know there's an FAQ, and it should be perfectly simple, but I'm coughing and can't figure things out right now. Anyway, here is a link if you want to copy it and go there. I have no expectations about people giving, because I know there are so many needs, some much more dire than this, but she is my baby . . . and everything the Lumberjack says about her is true, and so much more. So if anyone felt like sharing the GoFundMe to spread it around, that would be very kind. And if not, that's okay too.
Tron has been sending us a few texts, which makes me happy because it shows she's feeling well enough to communicate again!
