Multitasking: At one point today, I was concluding a text exchange with Master J in Kansas, who has incipient dementia due to CTE, and caught covid over Thanksgiving, while picking up a call from Cee Squared in Minnesota, who wanted to fill me in on her daughter's breast cancer diagnosis. Of course, I would normally ask one or the other to wait, so I could give each of them my full attention, but knowing that the texting was almost concluded, I chose to answer the phone right away so Cee would not get lost in the shuffle. It is sadly funny, yet causes me to scream quietly, that I know so many people who are in dire straits.

Other than that, I got in a couple of hours of dusting, putting things away, doing laundry, and such-like petty tasks. It hardly made a dent, but at least it's something. I thought I might get out for a walk, but no. I didn't even shovel my driveway. I feel like a big shirker! Tomorrow, I think the weather event will be over and it won't snow any more. Maybe then. I also thought I might actually cook a dish, rather than just continuing with the leftovers. I took some things out of the freezer. When the time came, I wanted a nap so badly. The Sparrowhawk talked me into it. Everything went back in the refrigerator. I crashed. I don't like it when I wake up and it's dark already! But all I want to do now is go back to bed, and hopefully when I wake up, it will be light this time. This morning, we were watching the sun come up, and there were actually some rifts in the clouds that allowed us to see the morning light. It was very pretty, pastel and pearlescent. The Sparrowhawk observed, "Pink sky at morning, sailors should be mildly concerned."

I saw the dawn this morning. It was gorgeous. But also very cold.
