I was hoping for a better day than this turned out to be. Neither one of us got enough sleep, and napping didn't really work out. However, on the bright side, we got our car back all fixed, and at very little cost thanks to the lifetime warranty! And yet, on the other hand . . . a mechanic stepped on the driver's side running board and it broke right off. Now the question is, should we have them put on a whole new set, or just take the other one off too and leave it at that?? The Sparrowhawk had an interesting conversation with the service manager. We have come to think of him as a friend, because we've seen him fairly often over the life of the car, and he's had quite a life.

I blame my blood pressure meds for my current state of constant fatigue and stomach pain. They are bringing my BP down, but at a cost. By 4 pm, I'm just longing for the day to end so I can go back to bed. But when the sun starts to fade, I'm horrified and appalled. It's too early for the days to be this short again! I'm not ready! We sat out in the back yard for awhile, until even with the slight breeze, it seemed too warm. The Michaelmas daisies are blooming, which makes sense because it will be Michaelmas in less than two weeks. The Sparrowhawk said he felt like crap as well. One of my few accomplishments was to disassemble the roasted chicken and make broth, so I prepared a nice, rustic chicken soup for dinner. I was surprised and pleased when he claimed it made him feel better. Well, that is what chicken soup is supposed to do!

Mmmm, chicken soup. Being a short person, I would want running boards so I could actually climb into the vehicle.
