Still trying to get comfortable with Dreamwidth. My learning curve is not helped by the fact that this weird fatigue is still not going away. It's true that I spent nearly three hours at church this morning, playing for Music Sunday, without eating breakfast. But then I had some delicious steak and eggs, and went outside to help put up the new trellis that the Sparrowhawk put together for me. I have a climbing rose and an autumn clematis that are big enough to need support now. I'm so happy the rose made it through the winter in fine shape. The trellis is much bigger than I thought when I bought it, but a neighbor who was also out doing yard work stopped by and said he thinks it looks nice.

Then I started weeding the flower bed. I was only outside for an hour, but I had to quit rather suddenly, because I started to feel dizzy and exhausted. I had to go inside and sit down with a glass of ice water. It's very disturbing.

In a bold move, I went to the bookstore, found and bought three of the Hugo novel nominees: Ninefox Gambit, by Yoon Ha Lee, All the Birds in the Sky, by Charlie Jane Anders, and Too Like the Lightning, by Ada Palmer. I'm only one chapter into Too Like the Lightning, but it seems brilliant so far. Although rather complicated for my fatigue-muddled brain to keep track of. It's like a Russian novel--I'm going to have to make a list of names. When the Nipper was here visiting, he introduced me to "Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812," and this first chapter reminds me of the Prologue to that musical: "And this is all in your program you are at the opera/
Gonna have to study up a little bit if you wanna keep with the plot." But the complexity is part of the brilliance.

Welcome to DW! That fatigue sounds worrisome. I hope it's nothing serious. Yes, I am a worrier.

I read NINEFOX GAMBIT but haven't tried the others yet.
