Baby Doc and his family wanted to go to their old church before leaving town. This place is up on the hill where the Sparrowhawk used to work. It was once an urban church, and is now surrounded by high-rise medical buildings that occupy right up to the parking lot where the Sparrowhawk and his brothers used to have recess while attending the church school. They picked up the Sparrowhawk and took him along. I preferred not to. He said it was kind of weird being there.

Afterward, they went out for breakfast and I drove over to meet them. I had to go around the block a few times because a) I couldn't see the sign for the restaurant until I'd turned around and gone back the other way, and b) although it said there was "easy parking," there wasn't. These little things bug me more than they probably should. Anyway, once I got inside, it was a pleasant meal.

Last night, I actually dreamed about voting! I went to my voting place, and they told me I wasn't on the rolls. To which I replied "Of course I am, dumbass! I just voted in the primaries!" I showed them that there was an auxiliary list that had all the Zs on it. I plopped my finger down on the list and said, "I'm right HERE!" It was horribly rude to call the long-suffering poll worker "dumbass." My waking self is embarrassed. But I guess I was just very determined to vote.
