It was a bright, windy day. Today's accomplishment was raking up the leaves that have fallen so far in the front yard. Most of them, anyway. The wind was blowing so hard that we had to quit after an hour or so. And it kept changing its mind and blowing back the other way, so they leaves were going every which way. What's funny is that I had deja vu, because I remembered that it was exactly the same on some day in October last year, when I also tried to rake leaves and was partially defeated by the playful wind gods. We did manage six bags full of leaves, to go out with the yard waste pickup tomorrow.

My doctor called and said she looked at my labs and I'm anemic. I have to take a multivitamin with iron and an iron supplement and get back to her in three months. Blaahhhh. I already feel like a walking chemistry experiment. I won't be able to give blood till my numbers improve, either.

My friend from PA who was in the hospital is now scheduled for a triple bypass by Friday.

Maybe the iron will help with the fatigue? I hope your friend's surgery goes well.

Autumn winds make raking leaves both important and impossible.
