Jun. 8th, 2020 09:52 pmI got some pretty good sleep, and this would have been a pretty good day, except that I had to go to the dentist in the afternoon for a long-delayed appointment. They were hinting that I should appreciate how lucky I am, because they have to space out the appointments much more than usual, to allow for cleaning, so I am fortunate to get one of those coveted slots. Yes--I am grateful for dental care, but I still don't enjoy the process! I took myself off on a guided meditation, as I usually do, so I was somewhat removed from the scene, but it was still quite exhausting. I emerged benumbed and drooling, but luckily, I had to wear a mask so no one could see me anyway! I had to stop in the store to pick up prescriptions and AA batteries for the thermostat. My inhalers weren't ready, because the prescription was ONE DAY out of date, due to LEAP YEAR. I'm speaking in caps because I never knew that an insurance company cared about Leap Year. I'm astonished. The Sparrowhawk made some pasta with vegetables and sausage for dinner. I went out later and watered my raised garden. It will be 90 tomorrow, and it dries out so quickly when it's hot. It was a mild, lovely evening, and it's always pleasant to play with the hose and smell the cooling air as the spray dampens everything and the plants get their drink. I saw the little toad under a lettuce leaf, so I guess she's happy in there.
