The dentist has been my nemesis today. My hygienist, who I love because she is funny and sweet, is also extremely thorough and meticulous in the performance of her duties. This is good in the long run, but it's sometimes painful in the short run. I was worn out after an hour spent upside down, being benevolently tormented for my own good. And my teeth ache. But they are certainly very sparkly clean.

I was in a big hurry to get there on time, and while trying to jam my foot into my shoe, I somehow wiggled my knee sideways and caused a sharp pain. It was okay at the time. . . . I put away some more clean laundry and worked on my bookshelf some more. Then I sat down to work on my story. First I had a chat with the Nonesuch about some aspects of his book that may relate to what I'm doing. While I was Zooming with him, I got a call from a beloved person on my other device. It wasn't good news. Sigh. I just hope we all make it through this season together. Meanwhile, I didn't want to miss out on all the sunshine of the day, so we went for a walk just before sunset at 5:08. Halfway through the walk, my knee kind of froze up. It's fine if I don't try to pick up my foot. When I do, it hurts. I hope a little rest will make it better. I guess this is a request from my body to stop hurrying so much.
